With a large footprint in the south metro Atlanta area, we have over 30 years of experience working with our local municipalities, vendors, and subcontractors. Established relationships are essential in navigating the complexities of construction projects.

With many moving parts, tight deadlines, priorities of stakeholders, and an assortment of details, we use a combination of tools and processes to manage our projects. Whether we are operating as a General Contractor and managing the construction side of your project or providing a full spectrum of services through design-build project delivery, we follow processes to ensure your project stays on schedule.

Precision in Preconstruction

When we discuss a construction project with you, we start the conversation with preconstruction. The preconstruction process involves the design, permitting, estimating, scheduling, coordination, and constant communication. Our team persistently works through each phase of the process to set a project on the right path. Careful examination of the preconstruction process helps identify your vision to match its construction budget.

We use Procore Construction Management software to manage all of our projects. A valuable tool, this cloud-based software allows for improved efficiency and accountability by streamlining project communication and documentation. Once all the details of preconstruction are handled, we handoff the project to our construction team, led by a project manager (PM) and superintendent.

Construction in Progress

With a clear direction established in preconstruction, our construction team is engaged and begins managing the construction process. The assigned PM is responsible for all activities related to the construction contract and develops the road map for the project team to follow. The PM is the liaison for the project team and is tasked with managing documents, meetings, changes, and budgets. The assigned full-time on-site superintendent implements the day-to-day operations on the construction site and controls the short-term schedule. The role of the superintendent also includes quality control and subcontractor task coordination.

Closeout Review

Once a project is complete, the preconstruction and construction teams meet to review each phase of the project thoroughly. Challenges, discoveries, and successes are discussed. We value continuous improvement and transparency. Closeout reviews are critical in sharing and gaining knowledge for the entire team. We compile closeout documents for the project owner to include warranty information and other helpful documentation. To feature your project in our marketing materials and website, we will request to take interior and exterior photos.

Dear Chuck,

From the very beginning of this project a few years ago until now, every crew and team of workers provided by Southtree have provided exceptional service. Of special note was the oversight provided firstly by Preston McDuffie (a New Project Manager) and John Filakosky (Site Superintendent) who assisted in getting phase-1 and 2 off the ground. The Superintendent was later replaced by Brett York of whom we cannot say enough. Brett's attention to details and concerns even for the smallest details was evident throughout the project. Not having a project manager from our side. Brett did an outstanding job keeping us updated on all contractor issues while remaining in consistent phone contact.

Mr. Ogletree, I could go on and on about these three men, but please know that your team receives our heartfelt thank you for the work and service they provided on behalf of Southtree. While there are a couple small outstanding issues, your honesty and integrity speak for itself. Please know that we are very proud and happy with our new facility. Summit Urgent Care

Summit Urgent Care has worked with Southtree on projects ranging from building new clinics to smaller remodeling jobs. The Greenville store was such an easy process, and it turned out even better than I imagined. Johnny was so detailed in all the craftsmanship, and the team up there was a blast and really transformed the spot. Mark was always on point with each note, and nothing came as a surprise during that entire process. Even down to the paperwork (with Janna) was so incredible and quick- which was something that was very important to me during the SBA loan process. For our Peachtree City store, it has literally changed everything to have the small remodel done- and it made a huge impact!
